Director of Sales Training and Program Development

Reports to – VP of Sales

MAJOR GOALS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Day to day management Managed Print Services Program

·       Day to day management of Sales Training Programs

·       Achieve a high level of success in selling managed print services individually and with existing sales reps.

·       Serve as a member of the sales management team.

·       #1 goal is to develop the existing sales teams to over achieve their MPS quota.

·       Provide leadership for the office.  Maintain company policy.

·       Spend 25 hours per week of your time in the field helping develop

Sales reps and assist in closing all business.

·       Spend 15 hours per week in the office developing programs and training sales reps.

·       Create raving fans of customers, vendors and colleagues.

·       Maintain a recruit portfolio to minimize short staff situations.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES:

·       All MFP’s, Printers, Managed Print Services and software for the market place.

ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES:

·       Take initiative to support your team regardless of requirement.

·       Insure the required sales paperwork is complete and accurate for order processing.

·       Develop and implement a Managed Print Services Program

·       Develop and manage Sales Training Programs

·       Work in the field with sales reps

·       Develop a plan to help sales managers achieve 40% net new  & incremental placements.

·       Close business.

·       Work with all other sales teams as necessary to achieve company philosophy and goals.

·       Be involved in the community organizations.

·       MPS sales Specialist.  Other office Personnel are managed by your peers.

·       Customers, prospects, candidates

Prerequisites:

·       Previous sales management, sales training and Managed Print Service experience.

·       Computer and/or office program experience.

·       Knowledge of the document technology business a plus.

Toughest Part of the Job:

·       Multiple and short deadlines especially at the end of the sales period.

·       Spending A time in the field and developing multiple above average team members.

·       Training sales reps with established habits.

·       Gaining agreement from three different sales managers on how plans should be implemented.
