Sometimes, Raving Fans are Created behind the scenes. Sometimes, it starts in the shop.

Veteran Datamax service team member Corey Huey (he’s been here 24 years) and current shop technician is an absolute go-to in the DFW office. As his manager Daniel Ketchum explains it, “the guy just doesn’t have the word ‘no’ in his vocabulary.”

The Team's Need

A sale came in for a Greenville-based law office, and there was a last-minute push to get it out and delivered. Daniel came to Corey and asked if he could stay late to get it set up. His response? No problem!

The Team’s Approach

Corey stayed until 7 or 8, and then turned around and headed to the client’s office early the very next morning to get it set it up. This fast turnaround was obviously appreciated by the customer – but also Corey’s manager.
“He’s dependable. If you need something done or if someone else needs help, he’s willing to just jump in and do it. He’s a very big team player. If we need him to go to Tyler, to Alcon, to meet a technician and take a part, he’s always willing to do it. That’s a very big asset for someone in the service department,” his manager Daniel Ketchum said.

Prior to working as a shop technician, he served as an onsite technician for major accounts like Tyco and Alcon. He also makes regular trips to East Texas to help support the shop team here. Whatever it takes, whatever the need is: Corey’s on top of it.

“I love the positive vibe here at Datamax. It just reenergizes me. And I get the same feeling from the team over in East Texas,” Corey says. “I don’t mind getting up every morning and coming into work because I love the attitude here.

What Made Them a Raving Fan?

“I have no problem helping out. If they need it done, I just do it. You have to have that mentality burned into you. What helps the company get the job done.”

Creating Raving Fans from the shop, every single day. That’s how Corey Huey rolls.
