Creating Raving Fans
The Employee: Mike Hinton and Robert Winston
Location: Little Rock
Ask Service Manager Mark McKinney about the dynamic duo of Robert Winston and Mike Hinton, and he’ll put it like this. They have a uniquely close work relationship. They’re almost like brothers.
This camaraderie certainly improves office morale. But it also pours over into customer offices, where a joyful, laughing spirit carries over to those who receive their copier on delivery day. This was certainly evident with Galley Support recently, where they took an otherwise standard operation and turned it into a Raving Fan experience.
Robert and Mike certainly like to joke with one another.
Just an example… they call each other “Craig.” For further details on this inside joke, you’ll need to inquire with them.
“They work so close together they know what the other is thinking. You’ve got these two outgoing guys who are funny. And the customers like it. It turns out to be a great experience for them… they’re not just dropping off a copier, saying ‘where do you want it?” They are having a great time while they do it.”
Robert and Mike certainly deliver.
Just ask the folks at Galley Support in Sherwood, AR.
Robert, on the Connectivity Team, and Mike, the driver, delivered a piece of equipment to the company recently, without hiccup, but not without delivering on their infectious attitude. The day after, the client sent an email to the Account Representative, Julie Robinson.
The email read:
“I wanted to brag about our install Friday. It was the smoothest install we have ever had. Robert and Mike were absolutely wonderful! Robert was very thorough and helpful to get us up and running without any hiccups. I was very impressed and very grateful, as was my entire team. When I sent the internal notice to our company that we were having a copier change out, everyone’s response was “So we won’t be able to print Monday?” because they were all anticipating IT issues when they came in. I am glad to say I had a very happy team this morning because they had no issues! It was great! Robert and Mike definitely deserve a shout out or lunch if that is something Datamax does.”
Robert and Mike certainly deserve the credit.
“Robert is one of those guys who tells me ‘It ain’t no big deal. I’ve got it,’ and I know I can step aside and let him conquer the situation,” Mark said. “Mike can do his job almost without thinking about it. They mesh so well together. They’ve been doing what they do for so long, they don’t have to say ‘what do we do here?’ They just do it. When you get people like that, especially delivery guys and technicians, everything just flows… and the customers love that.”
