Creating Raving Fans
The Employee: William Benson
Location: Little Rock
Sometimes, the simplest of things make the biggest impact.
An equipment move is a relatively routine task for our service teams. But a big part of Creating Raving Fans is understanding where our clients are coming from, or what kind of bind they are in, and then simply delivering.
That’s exactly what William Benson does. Every. Single. Day.
The Organization's Need.
Understanding why this equipment move for FTN Associates in Little Rock was so important begs a little perspective. The organization’s facility was damaged heavily by the spring tornado that tore through the city, and amidst their rebuilding, a new roll of carpet was due to be installed the next day, a last-minute occurrence. The copier needed to move, and fast.
“It was a Canon MFP with a finisher and a paper deck, so it was a big machine,” William said. “If we didn’t get out there fast, he would have tried to move it by himself.”
The Team's Approach.
The initial request to move was put out to Kristina Prichard and her manager Ken Allison. It quickly got pushed to service, and long story short, within 15 minutes of receiving the service request, William was onsite. THAT’S rapid response.
“They were definitely in a bind, and it was on us to rush out there and help them,” William said. “So we got it taken apart, moved it. Discovered it wouldn’t fit through the door in one room, so we moved it to another room. And that was it,” William said.
Delivering Peace of Mind for a client – that’s never a small thing.
What Made Them a Raving Fan?
A simple equipment move wouldn’t normally elicit a survey response from a client. But this time it did: Here’s what they had to say.
“We had a time-sensitive request which was met quickly. We always appreciate the timing in which our requests are met by Kristina and Mr. Allison. The technician called and we were met sooner than we expected. Everything was taken care of in an appropriate manner. William and Mark were able to communicate and resolve the issue quickly. William was very knowledgeable of our equipment and was able to achieve the task quickly. He was professional with Mark and was very accommodating to our needs. We would recommend Datamax to others.”
Yes, sometimes it’s the simple things that can Create a Raving Fan in a hurry.
