Letter on the Third — July 2022
Dear Datamax Family,
I want to open by wishing you and your family a very Happy Fourth of July weekend. This holiday offers us all the opportunity to not only celebrate our nation’s independence but also reflect on the Americans who defend and protect that hard-won freedom we all enjoy.
Protecting the legacies of our veterans is so important.
In Little Rock two weeks ago, we witnessed just that when 20 people (some on motorcycles and others trailing in an RV) rumbled into our office parking lot. We were proud to again welcome the Patriot Pack on their annual voyage across America to support the Jillian Fund, but also protect the legacies of our military veterans. This “pack” is made up of industry executives from all over the US who stop at various imaging dealers like Datamax in route to their ultimate destination (this year it’s Richmond, Virginia). It’s a very sentimental moment for me and the company to greet these riders every year. We’re proud to support their cause and grateful for the legacies of so many veterans that they continue to honor and protect.
Protecting ourselves against cyber threats is more important than ever.
As you’ll read about in this month’s Rave Review, security is a top-of-mind issue for not only our people and our customers, but any consumer today; and it’s important that we as a business technology provider lead that conversation. Over the past two years, we’ve not only ramped up our security offerings for our customers, but we’ve gone to great lengths to assess and solidify our own cyber security measures, through in-depth penetration testing and third-party audits. We even had you, as an end-user, go through a series of online tests to create better awareness of tactics like Phishing scams and social engineering. In the end, all we can do is protect ourselves and stay ahead of these looming threats.
Finally, as we approach the “dog days” of summer, please protect yourselves.
Whether you’re in Arkansas, Texas, or St. Louis, you can bet on one thing: It’s hot out there. Stay hydrated. If you have travel plans for this summer, stay safe. Again, I wish each of you a happy and certainly safe Fourth of July weekend. Protecting ourselves and one another – that’s what family does. That’s the Datamax Way.
The Best is Yet to Be.
