Letter on the Third — March 2023

Dear Datamax Family,

There are plenty of unsung heroes out there every single day. Linemen are unsung heroes in football. They don’t get the accolades that the quarterback or receiver do, but there are no Heisman trophies or highlight-reel touchdown passes without the big bodies up front. Healthcare professionals were certainly unsung heroes in fighting against the pandemic. The office has its own unsung heroes, too.

Just as a theatre production depends on numerous people backstage to pull off a production worth raving about, organizations like ours complete their mission only with the diligent work of people behind the scenes. These are professionals who aren’t public-facing, they don’t seek the spotlight, but they are absolutely essential to our success.

These are our Datamax unsung heroes, and we’re thrilled to highlight a few of them this month. We’re offering you a backstage pass to some of the things going on behind the curtain.

There’s the Prop Masters who help literally set the stage.

Our Shop Technicians touch every piece of equipment, set it up, test it, and fine-tune it prior to delivery. Our parts specialists, meanwhile, track, receive, organize, and deliver parts and supplies so our technicians are ready to roll.

There’s the Choreographers, who direct the movement of our customers’ experience.

Once a deal is inked, our administrative teams manage day-to-day customer care, be it billing, leasing, tech support, inquiries, or general troubleshooting.

There’s the Stage Crew, who supports the overall production in so many ways.

Our St. Louis team helps facilitate the customer experience (and our own internal experience) every day through leasing, procurement, accounts payable/receivable, and human resources.

There’s the Technical Directors, with unique technology expertise to keep customers running.

Our IT remote support teams are charged with being the go-to solution for our TechCare and Unified Communications Customers who encounter issues ranging from a forgotten password to falling victim to Ransomware… all from a remote location.

We can’t say it often enough: Every job is important.  All of us are guilty at times of only approaching someone when something isn’t done right.  Let’s visit with them when they do a great job. Let’s celebrate our successes. Sometimes it’s as simple as walking over and saying, “Thank you, I really appreciate you.” In the end, whatever role you’re performing here at Datamax, it’s important you know that the show doesn’t go on without you.

The Best is Yet to Be.
