My father planted vegetables his entire life, and Iv'e done the same. This past weekend I planed about 30 tomato plants, and back on Christmas Day, I planed about 1,000 onions. He used to do beans and corn, but I don't have the time to keep the birds out of my plants like he used to. The onions will be ready by mid-May, and the tomatoes by late May or early June. When that time comes, I'll be sure to bring some into the office to share with others.

My wife and I both love to garden. We grow a large food garden all summer, and in the winter, we grow in our greenhouse. We live on an acreage that is covered in flowers and mature trees. Suni is especially fond of irises.

My interest in Legos started with The Walking Dead TV show. They came out with a collection of Legos, and my husband got them for himself. He took too long, and so I put them together and then I was in love.

I have a little bit of everything in my collection: Harry Potter, a lot of Star Wars, the Infinity Stone from the Marvel movie, a tree house, and I just recently finished a Captain America shield. The London Bridge is probably the largest set I have, at around 4,000 pieces.

I just love it, it keeps my mind busy with something that’s not work related. It gives me peace. And the reward that comes with completing a set is so great.

Area Sales Manager - Dallas/Fort Worth Office

I used to run back in high school and took a break from it for about 10 years. I was starting to get back in fitness and found that my favorite work outs were ones that required nothing more than walking out of my front door.

What made me fall back in love with distance running is chasing the feeling of the second wind coming. I really have found myself enjoying the challenging parts of the run where I have to remind myself to just keep one foot in front of the other and that second wind is right around the corner.

My mother has been a runner her whole life. She has completed several half marathons as well as the full Cowtown Marathon in Fort Worth. She was a huge motivator to me running my first half marathon back in May of 2023 which was actually called the “Mothers Day” Half Marathon in Fort Worth which I thought was appropriate given the reason I was doing it!

Administration  - Little Rock Office

I’ve been coaching my sons’ flag football teams for four years now. I love football, but what started this was the fact that the league is purely based on volunteers. We had enough kids but no coaches, so I ended up stepping up and volunteering.

I just love working with the kids, it's rewarding watching them grow. Some of the kids have never even watched football. They wouldn't know how to throw a football. By the end of the season, seeing how much they grown, they get so excited.

I love gardening, doing my flower beds and my rose bushes. I love mowing! I know that sounds crazy! I've got an acre and a half.. you just get out there on that zero turn, it's just like your mind is at peace. That, my parents, and three grand babies, that's enough to stay busy.

Basically all of my time away from work consist of 3 thing that take up all of my off time.

I spend a lot of time being a volunteer and judge for Odyssey of the Mind.  Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem-solving program where team members present their solution at a competition to a predefined long-term problem that takes many months to complete and involves writing, design, construction, and theatrical performance.  This is for Elementary students through College. This would include three main tournaments regional, State and world meets.

I love spending family time with my four granddaughter, two in Austin Texas and 2 in Odessa Texas.

When there is time left over that I’m at the family lake house at PK Lake  spending time with family and friends boating, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.

I’ve played sports my entire life. I didn’t play a lot of organized golf until I finished college baseball. Coaches in all sports will tell you how that correlates with life. How you deal with challenge and develop skill sets. Golf is no different.

From an individual perspective, a golf course going to be met with challenges, everything will be different each round. That’s similar to the sales cycle. You’re going to encounter differences that you didn’t account for, that you didn’t anticipate. It’s a game within a game that tests your mental and physical attitude. That’s what intrigues me most about golf beyond a leisure activity.

For Christmas my wife purchased my son a 3d printer. His 3d printer is called a ToyBox and prints mostly small things or toys. After playing with his printer for a bit I decided to purchase a larger printer so I could print more complex objects. After some research I ended up purchasing an Ender 3 V3 KE by Creality. This is a beginners setup that prints just a single color at a time though has some more advanced features such as WiFi printing from the Creality application. So far all the prints that I have done thus far are simple prints that print fairly easy. As I begin to learn 3d printing I realized this can get very complicated very fast. If you want to print things multi color you have to print different parts and connect them together, you can print solid color moveable parts as well and they have multi color filament for added color if desired.

I have upgraded my printer a couple of times to include a light bar, a camera and a filament box that keeps the filament warm and dry. I have noticed that if filament gets exposed to even the slightest moisture it starts to cause flaws in the prints. One cool thing is, I have also printed parts for my printer to include a mount that holds the tools the printer came with and the camera I purchased. I also printed a pully system to feed filament from my filament box. The Camera I have takes a time laps video of the print but also has AI built in to alert me if there are any flaws in the print, Not sure I have figured this part out all the way! I have recently started printing some more advanced models and finding it difficult to get the prints to come out as I desire. Animal shapes with tails or trunks that hang down do not print well and I end up with a mess. Most printing applications have an option to print supports for the model, as the printer cannot print the parts of the model that hang in mid-air. So far adding supports seems to help with some things but not all. Supports print a small thin structure under the overhangs so there is something to support the structure, these parts peel away from the main model or are supposed to. So those have been my adventures in my off hours. Maybe when I figure this all out I will start making my own models to print but for now I’m sticking to printing things others have designed.
