As a company, we will fully recognize and accept the responsibility of being an involved corporate citizen in the community. It says just that in The Little Blue Book.

This mission takes shape in the form of our formal corporate initiative, DatamaxCares. For those unfamiliar with this program, it’s simply our company-wide pursuit of Raving Friends as well as Fans. From the River Cities Dragon Boat Festival, to Jonathan’s Place in DFW, to the East Texas Food Bank (Multiply Meals Program), we feel it’s our duty to connect with the communities in which we live and work. After all, it Ain’t About Us.

The good news? You can get involved. And the opportunity to connect literally kicks off right now.

Three Ways You Can Connect With DatamaxCares.

1. Play Fantasy Football!

With Leagues in Arkansas, Dallas/Fort Worth, and East Texas (and opportunities for more locations) opening this month, this initiative is one of our biggest corporate fundraisers for serving nonprofits later in the year. There is a set buy-in for playing (usually around $40), and half of the proceeds from the season will go toward a community-spirited initiative in each of our local areas (the other half goes to each league winner). Be on the lookout for details on joining your respective league. Bonus: You DON'T have to be a gridiron guru ... really!

“It’s a fun way to throw some trash talk around with your friends and neighbors at Datamax. It gives you a totally new way to enjoy the sport of Football. You look at these weekends coming up in a whole new way,” DatamaxCares torchbearer and VP of Strategic Technology Justin Huffaker said.

Let the cheers, jeers, and volunteers begin!

2. Get involved with our initiatives!

This could be as simple as attending an event like the River Cities Dragon Boat Festival, which benefits the Children’s Protection Center in Little Rock. Or, it could be being a part of one of our holiday initiatives, rather financially or through the actual delivery of goods/service. A great example? Last Christmas, Datamax in Dallas/Fort Worth delivered clothes for kids at Arrow Child and Family Ministries.

In East Texas, we raised funds for the East Texas Food Bank through our “Meating Their Needs” fundraising initiative. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for opportunities!

3. Share your own ideas!

DatamaxCares needs YOU and your ideas!!

“What DaztamaxCares are needs are leaders. We need people who will put the program on their back and help carry an agenda,” Justin said. To learn more about DatamaxCares visit our webpage at www.datamaxtexas.com/community or www.datamaxarkansas.com/community.
