The Client: First Baptist Church Euless
The Account Representative: Brian Drexel
First Baptist Church in Euless faces business-related challenges not unlike many congregations its size: To communicate and work as efficiently as possible, in order to better serve their members and grow their membership.
Brian Drexel found ways to help them do just that.
The Business Challenge
FBC Euless – with a fleet of Lexmark and Canon equipment – was still hamstrung by a few manual processes, particularly in accounting. The Lexmark printers currently in the field were not functioning to be able to do automated accounting, due to issues with the church’s current system.
“With larger congregations, it’s not uncommon for them to charge back to individual departments or cost centers,” Drexel said. “The administrative assistant, who was in her 70s, had to go each copier and print off monthly reports manually. The (church campus) spans four buildings, so she was having to walk across the entire campus.”
The Thought Process
“We pulled those Lexmarks out of the lease early and upgraded FBC with Canon machines. We added those to existing machines and added uniFLOW. With uniFLOW, we were able to provide them automated accounting, follow-me printing and secure print,” Brian said.
One of the current pastors of the church had previously used uniFLOW, and was particularly excited to put all of the office equipment into one specific workflow, rather than having multiple solutions working together.
One other advantage? With the new equipment, FBC Euless was sharing the same user interface for all of their equipment to make utilizing it MUCH easier.
“With any congregation, you get so many different levels of staff, so many volunteers, it’s a lot easier when they walk up to a device and it’s welcoming – it’s the same no matter what it is. It adds familiarity, and that’s good.”
The Prevailing Results
“I love working with churches. Their challenges are all unique based on size, but they’re all trying to bring people into their services, to do as much community outreach, and to grow.”
Brian Drexel’s persistence in not only listening to their needs, but guiding relevant solutions into their daily workflow, has helped Create a Raving Fan at FBC in Euless.
