Taking temperatures – it’s become a household chore for businesses opening up during a pandemic.
As businesses small and large have a designated employee walk the halls with a handheld, digital thermometer, it’s been incumbent on Datamax sales teams to share the great news – that there’s a faster, safer, and more streamlined way of doing this.
When it comes to temperature taking, perhaps no one’s hotter than Tommy Goucher. He’s sold three body temperature kiosks to date (and that number may have climbed by the time this publishes).
The Client's Need
The need for these kiosks, given current circumstances, is almost universal.
Vivid Real Estate School is a current customer and Raving Fan of Tommy’s. Knowing that his contact there has a particular interest in emerging technology, and feeling that there might be interest based on the number of students who walk in and out of the door every day, Tommy sent him an email about the Datamax Automated Temperature Measurement kiosks.
“I basically said in the email, we’ve got a brand new product that will make you think about a few things,” Tommy says. “And I sent him all the information (about the kiosks).”
The response? He asked what the price ways, and followed with “I’m on my way to do a demo.”
The Thought Process
“I showed him the particulars, the dashboard and everything it can provide, the fact that you can scan in in three seconds,” Tommy said. “The customer really, really, liked how easy the process was.”
He also couldn’t believe that everybody didn’t have this product.
“The kiosk takes away that designated person. People know that they have to take temperatures, but the common method is handheld,” Tommy says. “There’ no extra time or money in having someone doing that for you. The customer really liked what these were able to do for his school.”
The Prevailing Results
While the path ahead with this pandemic remains unclear, Tommy sees these kiosks as a mainstay.
“If there’s a vaccine for COVID, and one day everything is ‘back to normal,’ there’s still the flu. It’s always been here,” Tommy says. “I still believe this is a relevant product no matter what happens, for schools, churches and workplaces everywhere. These kiosks go a long way in ensuring safety and well-being for employees in the workplace moving forward.”
