Datamax Little Blue Book Story - AARON SAUER

Aaron Sauer's Story

(Senior IT Administrator, St. Louis Office)  Two decades ago, Aaron Sauer started a job delivering copiers. But looking back, it’s clear to see that his journey with Datamax quickly developed from a job into a successful career.

What led me to Datamax?

I knew Terri Hackmeyer, and when I applied I asked her to put in a good word for me. A week later, I was delivering copiers. That was 22 years ago.

In the beginning, I was certainly surprised by the amount of care everyone has for each other’s family and well being.

My experiences at Datamax:

At Datamax, I’ve learned teamwork, commitment, and instead of dwelling on mistakes, I’ve learned to grow from them and become a better person.

It’s also great to work for a company that continues to grow year after year.

I guess I could say that I’m most proud of my journey with Datamax.  I started in delivery, then moved to the warehouse. From there I moved to the parts department, the help desk and now I’m a Senior IT Administrator for the corporate office.

What makes me want to stay at Datamax?

At this point in my life, with two boys (an 11-year-old and 7-year-old), many things happen with kids without warning. If I need to leave at the drop of a hat and take care of an issue, all that is ever said is “Go.” That means a lot!

I would definitely refer a friend to work here. However, I haven’t had many opportunities to do so because we have a such a close group here and the turnover is almost nonexistent.
