Rachel Rhodes' Story

(Platform Solutions Manager, Dallas/Fort Worth Office)  In the movement of everyday business inside our organization, Rachel Rhodes’ office might just be Grand Central Station.

One of the few people at Datamax who’s worked in nearly every department of our business, Rachel directs much of the forward progress between sales, service and administrative tasks. Part sales support/sales manager, part billing and financials consultant, solutions trainer and ultimate solutions expert - Rachel has her hand in a lot – A LOT of areas.

“I’ve got my hand in just about everything,” she says. “I feel like I have constant opportunities to contribute to the success of the people I work with… for example, helping a rep win a deal or assisting service resolve a customer related issue.”

What led me to Datamax?

“I was very drawn to the professional air of the organization; everything felt structured and well defined.

I had previously worked with a company called MobileComm as a major account sales specialist. I was supporting major accounts and selling pagers back in the day! When I started with Datamax, I started at a very pivotal time. Everything was analog. We had one digital black and white machine that would copy, print and scan… nothing was plug and play.

As technology has evolved and improved, I have been able to stay current with technology by learning what is new, so I'm not drinking through a fire hose.

My experiences at Datamax:

In 1998, when I started working in the Irving office, it felt like I worked for an individual organization.

Through my career with Datamax, I have had the opportunity to visit all the other locations. Seeing each division and meeting fellow employees really opened my eyes to the overall size of the organization.

What makes me want to stay at Datamax?

"Every day is a new day and a new challenge. Throughout my 20 year career with Datamax, I have had endless opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. I also have thad the opportunity to work closely with almost every department in the company.

When I have a great meeting with a customer, we present our solution and everything goes well, that makes a great day and a successful day for me at Datamax.
