Sherry Lee's Story

(Solutions Consultant, Little Rock Office)  Sherry Lee was with Datamax for 23 years before taking a four year break to pursue real estate. But while away, she didn’t realize how much she would miss everything – especially her fellow employees and clients she’d built relationships with for so long. So she eventually made it back “home.”

Sherry has served as a Sales Manager and Solutions Consultant for Datamax Arkansas and an integral part of the sales team ever since.

What led me to Datamax?

A friend in the office equipment business led me into the industry. I started with Royal Business Machines in 1983 (in Little Rock) selling memory typewriters for five years. Royal Business Machines was much smaller than Datamax, more of a “mom and pop” operation providing mostly typewriters. I began to see the writing on the wall when it came to typewriters, and decided to move into the copier arena.

I joined Datamax as a major account representative, and saw this organization as a much larger company that offered a lot more stability and growth potential.

My experiences at Datamax:

Great leadership, good culture and team building to Create Raving Fans of both employees and customers. The company invests in their employees’ skills and knowledge.

For the first 23 years at Datamax, I strengthened my sales skills through multiple sales classes and hard knocks, of experience in the field. That investment in training assisted me to achieve Top Sales Rep and building a new home for my family.

Datamax has given me new challenges and opportunities to learn more about Vertical Markets, Capture processes, Print Management and so much more.

What makes me want to stay at Datamax?

I enjoy seeing our employees and customers faces light up with an enlightened moment when we have assisted in making their jobs and lives a little better in this paper driven world, by educating and giving them the tools they need! It is nice to be a part of positive change!
