DATAMAX LITTLE BLUE BOOK STORY - DARRYL MOSELEY

Darryl Moseley's Story

(Service Manager - Longview Office) With 38 years in this industry, Darryl Moseley’s become well acquainted with acquisitions.

Darryl went to work at Office World in Longview in 1982 as a Canon Service Technician. In 1990, Darryl became a Field Service Manager parts manager and refurb center manager in the Kilgore office. In 1998, he took the job as Field Service Manager for Precision Copiers, which was ultimately acquired by East Texas Copy Systems in 2002.

Within that time, he’s been a part of five total acquisitions. The latest transition, he says, has by far been the smoothest.

“This was by far the easiest one,” Darryl says. “Our companies were just so much alike. Same operating systems. Same product lines. There’s been some changes, sure. One thing I’ve noticed is everyone is just so helpful. I can call Arkansas. I can talk to Shawn or Daniel or one of the guys in Dallas and get help. Having so many people you can fall back on to help, that’s something I haven’t had before.”

What led me to Datamax?

"I was employed at East Texas Copy Systems when we were acquired by Datamax.”

My experiences at Datamax:

“Datamax has a great employee benefits package. Datamax has yearly reviews and offers pay increases if deserved. Datamax has long-term employees that seem to love their jobs.

I’ve been pushed to step up my professionalism – things I used to just hand write, now I’m opening up an Excel document (laughs). But I just think, overall, the whole company works together really well.”

What makes me want to stay at Datamax?

“My co-workers are the main reason. I feel like I’m surrounded by people who want to make their customers happy.

One other thing I’d mention: I was very impressed that with the COVID-19, no personnel were laid off. That shows me how dedicated Datamax is to its employees.”
