DATAMAX LITTLE BLUE BOOK STORY - MIKE STOKLEY

Mike Stokley's Story

(Field Service Technician - Longview Office) — “Do the job and do it right.”

It’s a simple but sturdy lesson that Mike Stokley learned early on in life.  Working alongside his father doing repairs or the daily grind that came with farm work helped prepare him for the swift copier repair service resolution he delivers today.

The lifelong East Texan nor his manager can recall a time that he’s had to call in for a loaner machine because the machine couldn’t be fixed. It’s a nearly unhittable mark that Mike humbly takes in stride.

Out in the field, he suggests, he needs to gather the parts, do the research and use all the resources around him before he ever arrives on site.
Do the job and do it right.

What led me to Datamax?

Mike grew up in Diana, a small community north of Longview, alongside current Longview-based dispatcher Darryl Moseley. The two have known each other since grade school. For years, Darryl had tried to convince Mike to come on board. In 2008, he obliged.

“I was working on cash registers and computers, and Darryl had asked me for quite some time to come work for him. When I decided to leave that company, I decided to apply here,” Mike said. “The biggest change for me, for the better, was less after hours calls. That was a huge plus.”

My experiences at Datamax:

Just a random sampling of comments from customers recently, after Mike had repaired their machine:

  • Mike Stokely is always the ultimate professional!
  • Mike Stockley always knows how to repair our copier. He does a very good job.
  • Mike Stokley is always very good and knowledgeable of repairing our copier.

“Getting that feedback, that’s all part of why I enjoy this work. I enjoy helping people, it’s really rewarding. When you show up, and say we’re glad to see you."

What makes me want to stay at Datamax?

"Taking care of customers, and Datamax has backed that up. I don’t know how to explain it. They support their technicians. That (company) stability is very valuable. It’s important to know your company will stand behind you and help you in way that they can.”
