DATAMAX LITTLE BLUE BOOK STORY - TIM SKURDAHL

Tim Skurdhal's Story

(Service Supervisor - Fort Smith Office) — Like most of us, Datamax Service Supervisor Tim Skurdahl has reasonable expectations for his career path. The ability to provide for his family, manageable benefits, a voice to address ideas, and the opportunity to grow professionally.

He’s found that at Datamax. In turn, the organization has earned a steady, reliable, and reputable hand at managing service and operations along the Northwest corridor of Arkansas.

What led me to Datamax?

Tim was working with a competitor when he learned that recent business events might necessitate looking elsewhere. He knew of Datamax, so he applied. In doing so, he liked everything that he heard from the onset.

“I liked the benefit package. I liked the hours. I saw something about them winning Best Places to Work in Arkansas, and it was refreshing for me to see that employees actually liked working here,” Tim said.

My experiences at Datamax:

For lack of a better phrase, Tim helps hold down the fort in Fort Smith. Part building manager, service supervisor, Baptist Health correspondent, and deliver/install coordinator, Tim covers a lot of ground in his role.

He’s personally driven to exceed expectations in all areas because of the voice he’s been given at this company. The chance to present areas of improvement and be heard; the doors of his managers are always open. And the opportunity to grow and elevate his career path for a company he considers “family” is of immeasurable value.

“I would say that the atmosphere here is professional, but still feels like a family business. Since being promoted to supervisor, my confidence has definitely grown. I want to thank Datamax for the opportunity to grow in my career,” Tim said.

What makes me want to stay at Datamax?

When he’s not at Datamax, Tim volunteers with his church at a local rescue mission that feeds hungry people in the community. A family man, he appreciates the time with his wife of 15 years and their daughter. Keeping his life balanced between his family at home and work is important. In both instances, he’s got a bright future ahead.

“The job security is a wonderful thing to have here. The work environment is like being in a family unit. I can’t wait to continue to grow this Fort Smith office. It’s like Barry Simon says all the time, The Best is Yet to  Be!”
