Letter on the Third — August 2025
Dear Datamax Family,
You can’t underestimate the impact of wherever you call home. There’s something undeniably powerful about the pride we take in where we’re from, whether it’s the way a community rallies behind its team, the local flavors we crave, or the traditions that take us back. At Datamax, we get to experience such pride in triplicate: Arkansas, Texas, and Missouri.
And while we all champion our states in unique ways, they also share a common thread. It’s about being proud of where you live. It’s about showing up for something bigger than yourself. That’s what makes someone a champion. Pairing our unique stories with our shared principles and philosophies? That’s what makes the Datamax family a thriving one.
Championing Our Communities.
When I first moved from St. Louis to Arkansas more than 40 years ago, I didn’t just relocate, I found a home. One of my earliest memories is boating on the river, meeting new friends on a sandbar, doing business with those same people, and still calling them neighbors and friends today. That’s the kind of place Arkansas is: Welcoming, relationship-driven, ready to help.
Over time, I came to appreciate how business and community are deeply intertwined. From local events like Riverfest and the Dragon Boat Races to supporting nonprofits, schools, and being deeply involved with groups like the Young Presidents Organization back in 1988, I learned that being part of the community isn’t an obligation… It’s a privilege. That’s true across all our regions. Whether it’s food banks in Texas, the Blues in St. Louis, or the marathon in Little Rock, we’re there. And when you’re there, really there, you earn trust. You build bonds. Suddenly, you are actively championing your communities.
Championing Our Pastimes.
You may root for the Razorbacks or Red Wolves. You might don Cowboys blue or Cardinals red. Whatever it is, our passions and pastimes say something about who we are and where we've been. Our surroundings shape us. The pastimes we embrace — whether it's early mornings on a lake, tailgating before a big game, or meeting friends at a favorite restaurant — they do more than just fill our weekends. They shape our values, our relationships, and our view of the world. They teach us teamwork, grit, patience, and joy. Those same lessons often find their way into how we work, how we serve our customers, and how we show up for one another.
Championing What Connects Us.
Even as we celebrate what makes each location unique, we should also embrace what binds us together. Our values. Our commitment. Our belief that people matter most. That’s where we shine. As individuals, yes. But especially as a team. No matter what state you call home, Datamax should feel like home too — a place where you’re known, supported, and a place that you’re proud to champion.
The Best is Yet to Be.
Your Raving Fan,

P.S. We hope you enjoy the unique aspects of Arkansas included in this month’s issue, and look forward to doing the same for Texas and Missouri in the coming months!
