The next three months, we're celebrating the people, places, and traditions that make Datamaxers proud of where they call home. From Razorbacks, historic cities, and natural wonders (like the one pictured here!), there’s a lot to champion in Arkansas. In this first of our Rave Review three-part series, we’re shining a light on what our team there proudly stands behind. Because when it comes to Arkansas, we don’t just live here... we champion our state.

You can’t underestimate the impact of wherever you call home. There’s something undeniably powerful about the pride we take in where we’re from, whether it’s the way a community rallies behind its team, the local flavors we crave, or the traditions that take us back. At Datamax, we get to experience such pride in triplicate: Arkansas, Texas, and Missouri.

President, Datamax Inc.

At Datamax, Arkansas Razorback fandom is no better represented than at Eric Scott's desk in Little Rock. If you're in the office, you know exactly what we're talking about. But whether they graduated from the University, or they grew up watching them on Saturdays, Arkansans are wild about their Hogs. Click to read a few of the Razorback stories and reasons for allegiances from a few of our colleagues.

Even so, it retains that friendly, neighborly feel that makes Jonesboro a great place to live. Dave Duke reflects on the Red Wolves and his beloved hometown.

Hiring the best talent relies on people just like YOU. By reaching into your professional/social networks to refer a talented contact, you could take home $500!

It's like ole' Buck Owens (and later the Beatles) sang in the country classic: "All you gotta do, is Act Naturally."
If you want to talk about the natural beauty of Arkansas, naturally, Hot Springs (pictured) is a great place to start. But across the Natural State, there's so much more to embrace. From kayaking to hunting, hitting the lake or grabbing the fishing pole, we find out more about what Arkansas Datamaxers love about the outdoors.

Sam McCumpsey
Little Rock
Every day, IT Engineer Sam McCumpsey gets to be someone's superhero. Just ask his colleagues how proactively he listens, how deeply he empathizes, and how important it is to Sam that customers know: "We're on the same team. I care."

Wesley Andrews
Tyler
Logistics representative Wesley Andrews is the type of guy who likes to see the job done all the way through: From the initial order to the "on the truck" for delivery. He's also just a great guy to have on your team when running the warehouse.

Ethan Schultz
Dallas/Fort Worth
The speed of the machine was one thing for FTA prospect Aspire in DFW. The speed of response and communication? That was everything. Luckily for them, they had the lightning-quick Ethan Schultz as their Business Process Consultant.

Opportunities Inc.
Texarkana
Datamax was proud to serve as a hole sponsor for the Texarkana Special Education Center, Opportunities. Inc. This sponsorship helps support individuals with disabilities and helps them continue their important work in the community.

Pork barbecue seemingly stands tall in Arkansas's culinary lore (and the Whole Hog Cafe, pictured, is one of Jim Sutton's favorite spots, depending on his mood). But for Datamaxers, the simple truth is this: There's plenty of "pigging out" to do that doesn't involve barbecue, from fried Catfish, a well-cooked steak, to their famous cheese dip (yes, it WAS invented in Arkansas).
