Visualizing the victory: What's your 2-minute drill this month?
Based on your goals set at the beginning of the year, what is it you want to accomplish in these last “two minutes” of our 2021 season? What does your strategic two-minute drill look like to guarantee victory this year? See your teammates' responses below.

At the beginning of the year, my huge focus was on FTA sales, and I feel like I was successful in that avenue. That’s really what makes me feel the most accomplished. When I go out and make that contact, I stay in contact and then they buy from me, I’m not just riding the coattails of those before me.
Most of my FTA sales were customers that I started building that relationship with cold calling two or three years ago. This year, they called, they said we’re ready to move forward. It was a good feeling to see all that work come to fruition.
Now, it’s keeping those relationships and finding those opportunities, identifying whom I will go after next year. At the end of the year, I’m also calling on a lot of customers I’ve already reached out to in 2021. A lot of customers have IT budgets they need to spend now. My final push is mentioning the Section 179 tax code so they can take advantage and purchase now.

I think my goals/game has gone well. My Two minute drill is to keep my eye on the ball/projects and keep them moving, creating next steps for 2022. I am looking forward to seeing goals from the Business Planning meetings to create my goals for 2022.

I had no clue what the last 2 months would bring. My goals were to understand the customers needs, why Coke red and Pepsi blue were off with Adobe Suites Creative Cloud (Ps+Id+Ai+Cloud) and stay ahead of EFI on the Fiery systems, Canon IPF Wide Format printers with the new TZ30000 (1st one in the field goes to Conway somewhere as far as I Know), MBM cutters and advances on security with settings for Konica Minolta and be ready to go to school for Canon Black and White Production Vario Print line.
Never mind that, it turned into Spinning on a Dime. Taking on the challenges and changes of not being prepared because of little training and resources on Toshiba products but still making Baptist Health Hospitals and clinics personal impressed with our abilities as an individual and company to fix the printer failures that arose. Fixed by members of the Service Department and the company stepping up with the resources to fix the shortcomings; BIG Thumbs Up to Service Technician Tim Skurdahl in Ft Smith, Thank You, along with Supervisors Chris Williams and Ken Miller directed by Service Manage Mark McKinney.
For myself, it meant taking on the most adverse challenges. Being willing and able to take on Lexmark at the same time as Toshiba models then running after hour and Holiday calls for the hospitals and have working machines when I left ... especially the ER’s. Spinning on a dime was not my goal but having the prior training and ability taught within the company made my personal goals over accomplished to win in the chaotic two-minute drill of 2021.

You don’t want to get to the end and be gassed. Everybody’s workload increased by 25 Percent from our recent acquistion. We’re trying to figure out what our new normal is past Covid, and after this recent acquisition; working to get our parts inventory in order based on the new line of equipment; and trying to prioritize and manage our time so we can be proactive in what we do.
We also want to continue to support sales with on-time deliveries. We understand what our role is in support. We know Dec. 31 at midnight, that’s it. There is no getting a machine billed. So what can we do to step up for sales so they can get things taken care of?

My goal will be completed when I graduate college! I will graduate Dec. 17 with an Associates Degree in Arts - General Studies from Tyler Junior College. It’s taken a lot of coffee, lack of sleep, and the hour I get for lunch to do homework!

Really, if I’m being honest. I’m simply trying to finish strong. I’m trying to tie up any loose ends, push forward and make it until the end. To do that, you continue to use all your avenues, use any kind of information that you have and continue to do what you’ve been trained and taught to do.
I like to have a clean slate for the new year. So my goal in December is to leave all these end-of-year tasks completed and behind me, and not let them carry over.

In many ways, I want to survive 2021, given everything we've been through. My goal is to continue to just come in and do everything I can do every single day. It’s business as usual for me, as it has been for 17 years.

For me, you want to close your year out strong. What you’ve prospected before in the first, second, and third quarter, is your success now. It’s really a continuation of what I’ve been doing the past three quarters and preparing to close the year out strong on goals I set Jan. 1.
You have to be really smart in the prospects you target. Go back to people who said they’ll wait until the end of the year, go through people you’ve contacted and follow back up. It’s just a lot of checking in at this point.

My motto is “Never give up. Never surrender.”
These last four weeks, I want to just continue to improve customer relations and make the experience even better for them. Often when customers call me, they’re upset – my goal is, by the end of the call, to get a laugh out of them and make them feel good about the issue that was bothering them before. The other thing is just to maintain a good, positive attitude. Working in customer service, there’s a lot of people who are upset – that can drain you if you let it.
