What Difference will YOU make in 2022?
Concurrent with our Difference Makers corporate theme this year, we reached out to a few of you around the Datamax organization to ask: "How can you be a difference-maker in 2022?" See the responses below.
Terri Hackmeyer
Human Resources - Saint Louis Office
Our guiding light while moving forward is and will always be our culture. I’d like to keep moving and be open to change and break down any barriers we may have in our workplace. I am willing to support our employees at work and outside of work.
Kym McGee
Supplies Coordinator - Little Rock Office
Datamax has always created a positive, optimistic and contagious work environment. I’m a big believer in taking ownership in what you do regardless of it being good or bad. Never be afraid to apologize, no one is perfect.
So going into 2022 it will not be hard to become a difference maker. I will continue to improve daily and create a positive experience for both our company and customers. 2021 was a really great year for Datamax. 2022 will be our year to make a difference.
Dan Gallion
Account Representative - Little Rock Office
Just using the tools we’ve been designed to use. Taking care of our customers. Making sure we’re doing everything we can to create that raving fan - from proposal to install and everything in between; being an advocate rather than just a rep.
William Washington
Technician - Little Rock Office
I’ve been doing this for over 30 years. It’s more or less me putting forth the effort of doing a better job for myself, as far as the type of work, and the quality of work that I put out. I’m very picky. I can’t take shortcuts. Also, with everything surrounding COVID right now, it’s about understanding the state of mind that your customer may be in at this time. Sometimes you can hear frustration come out of them. I want to make sure what I do isn’t affecting what they’re already going through, and allows them to be successful with their work.
To go out every day and do a job, and then you go home and wind down, it’s a good feeling knowing you’ve done everything you can to the best of your ability. Having a family like Datamax, one that provides us with everything we need to do our job successfully, makes being a Difference Maker that much more attainable.
Clay Mills
Vice President of Sales - Dallas/Fort Worth Office
My difference maker for 2022 is to lead the sales team and each individual being a difference maker to clients, to their teammates and to the company.
Ashley Tatum
Business Process Consultant - Tyler Office
I don’t want to just be an order taker. That’s not what people need. We need to help customers and prospects discover what they need. We need to be more solution based in our approach, by asking discovery type questions rather than just asking them “What do you need?”
Edward Robinson III
Business Process Consultant - Dallas/Fort Worth Office
What separates me from other competition out there its I'm a relationship-based salesperson. I‘m not pushy. I go out there and be myself, I’m genuine, and I relate to them on a more personal level. We just talk about life, and then we start talking about business. I’m friends with them on LinkedIn. They have my cell phone number. And we’re friends on Facebook.
JR Johnson
Technician - East Texas
I want to make sure I'm attentive to whatever the customer is needing, and to make sure I am covering all their bases. If there's anything I know that might help them out that they may not be aware of, I always aim to bring that up to them.
