Per the Datamax Little Blue Book Principle #14, do we
“deal with interruptions positively”? Do we respect the time of others? Interruptions are inevitable — but shouldn’t come at the expense of productivity. For an organization that comes together, stays together, and most importantly works together, how we deal with interruptions (and how we deliver them) is a big deal.
Last month, I was fortunate enough to attend the Executive Connection Summit event, hosted by my good friend and industry veteran Michael Stramaglio. One morning, I was asked to offer up a prayer as the day got started.
Here’s a portion of that prayer, which I think very much applies to the subject matter of this month’s newsletter:

President, Datamax Inc.

Dealing With Interruptions is a fact of life for Little Rock Billing Specialist Leah Lewis, but she handles it magnificently. Just ask Senior Account Manager Dave Duke, who works with her on a daily basis!
"N" stands for "Never, Ever Give Up." In that spirit, what do you want to accomplish this year? What will you do to get there in 2023?

Constantly interrupting your coworkers? What's the deal?? Research shows that office interruptions, when not presented the right way, induce stress and extinguish productivity. In the spirit of positive office communication, are we respecting the ideas, opinions, and TIME of others? Tyler Enterprise Solutions Specialist Jerry MacLaren certainly is!

East Texas Food Bank
East Texas
Partnerships aren't part-time, for our customers or our community friends. Datamax delivered an "end of year" donation to the East Texas Food Bank last month to show our ongoing support of their great work across 26 East Texas counties.

It's easy to get bogged down in our own roles. But Datamax does a lot of different things for customers (and communities). We're a "Package Deal" of sorts, and Business Process Consultant Shelby Estes gets that. It's part of her regular dialogue with clients.

In the workplace, your day will include at least a few unexpected tasks, a few visitors to your cubicle/office, or an email with a sense of urgency that you hadn’t anticipated that day. So how do we handle them? In our busy days, it's important to remember that we depend on others and they depend on us."
