Culture Wins.

Just like a tree’s rings tell the story of its growth, resilience, and adaptability, a company’s culture reflects its history, values, and ability to thrive. Culture wins because, like the strongest trees, it grows deep roots, adapts to every season, and wins the battle against time.

Thrive 2025 Rings Reversed

Dear Datamax Family,

Author and management consultant Peter Drucker once said: “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” You know what? I 100% agree with that statement. Even the best strategic plan on earth will likely fail if the culture doesn’t support it. Strategy is only as good as people who do (or don’t) believe in it.

Every Culture's 'Rings' are Distinct.

Every tree's rings are distinct, shaped by its environment and experiences. Similarly, no two company cultures are the same. What's unique about ours? We asked Datamax Arkansas President David Holzhauer and Datamax Texas President David Rhodes.

The Roadmap to Success Includes Roundabouts: Every Culture Must Adapt to truly thrive

In the book "Culture Wins," the cover graphic is purposefully a squiggly circle (as seen above).  We discuss the book and critical cultural adaptation.

RR-Article-Smaller-Thumbnail-Template-Why

What's Your 'WHY?' Every strong culture begins by asking ourselves and each other that simple question

A strong organizational culture is rooted in a clear sense of purpose. We asked several Datamaxers, simply, "What's your 'why?' What gives you fulfillment?"
RR-Article-Smaller-Thumbnail-Template-Client-Referral-Program

Benefits Brief: Employee Referral Program a great incentive to share Datamax culture with peers

Hiring the best talent relies on people just like YOU. By reaching into your professional/social networks to refer a talented contact, you could take home $500.

Strong Cultures Strengthen Over Time.

Companies with strong cultures cultivate loyal employees who grow with the organization, trust the organization, and feel as though they are part of something bigger. We visit with COO Steven J. Sumner about the strength of Datamax culture — from the moment an applicant walks in the door and beyond.

At Datamax, we've got even more to rave about.

Raving Fans: Service Spotlight

Barry Burton
Little Rock

Sure, Barry Burton is a talker.  Well, the clients don't seem to mind it. Because his chatty nature doesn't just help him zero in on the issue at hand: It creates a client/technician camaraderie that makes all the difference.

Raving Teammates: Employee Spotlight

Kevin Seymour
Lufkin

We'll call it right place, right time. When Kevin's father (an IT manager at an East Texas bank) caught word that Datamax was hiring, he encouraged his son to apply. What's unfolded is a unique career opportunity for Kevin and the development of big-time skills.

Raving Results: Solutions Spotlight

Julie Robinson
Little Rock

It was a banner year for Arkansas Account Manager Julie Robinson. Her well-earned accolades speak for themselves. But don't think that Julie doesn't give credit to those around her for so many big wins. We consider those CULTURE wins at Datamax.

Raving Friends: Community Spotlight

Shiloh Community Garden
Dallas/Fort Worth

We love getting our hands dirty! Recently, a group of Datamaxers visited Shiloh Field Community Garden. The volunteers installed chicken wire inside a greenhouse to rabbit-proof it once the lettuce is planted there.

Celebrating Our Wins as a Whole Family.

A defining moment for any culture is when it's people come together - to break bread, to celebrate, to collaborate, to recap, or to plan ahead. That's exactly what we'll do as we embark on our annual meetings Feb. 26 (Tyler), Feb. 27 (Dallas/Fort Worth), and Feb. 28 (Little Rock). We look forward to seeing you all there!

Simon says ...

Our Smart Advantage business partner often cautions against using phrases like "world-class" — after all, to customers, it can sound like empty marketing blah, blah, blah fluff. But when others use it to describe Datamax? That’s proof we’re delivering real results and earning recognition where it matters most. Great culture can only produce that!” - Barry Simon
