Datamax Further Bolsters Client Experience With 9th Straight Konica Minolta Pro-Tech Service Award

Little Rock, Ark. (March 17, 2025) — In earning its 9th consecutive Konica Minolta Pro-Tech Service Certification, Datamax Inc. solidifies its elite status in its copier repair service capabilities. More importantly, it further strengthens the overall client experience, and bolsters his or her trust that any service-related downtime will be minimal.

“No matter how many times you tell a customer that we are Pro-Tech Certified, customer trust comes from a technician saying ‘I can fix it, that’s no problem,’ and then getting that client back up and running quickly,” Datamax Arkansas Service Manager Mark McKinney said. “And that element of trust begins with ongoing advanced training for our technicians.”

McKinney recognizes his service team for the literal hundreds of hours spent outside of their normal service call responsibilities completing online courses and ongoing machine training.

“I could never say enough about what these individuals do outside of running service calls to get this accomplished every year,” McKinney said.

To achieve Pro-Tech status, a dealership must ensure that a designated number of its technicians complete an exam covering approximately 50 to 70 online training modules, spanning from the Associate Level to the Master Level. As a dealer maintains its Pro-Tech certification over time, the requirements become more rigorous, encompassing both new and existing equipment models.

The evaluation process thoroughly examines all aspects of the service operation, including technical proficiency, inventory management, dispatch systems, leadership capabilities, and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, a Konica Minolta representative conducts an on-site assessment at the dealership and visits several clients to evaluate overall performance.

According to Konica Minolta, a Pro-Tech dealer offers clients the benefit of a broad range of enhanced technical and management skills, including:

Pro-Tech certified dealers will be individually recognized among peers at the special awards ceremony held at the annual Konica Minolta Dealer Conference and Product Expo later this year.
